(Left) Burroot
It lives in tunnels close to the surface. When it tunnels, it aerates the soil, making it easier for plants to grow. This provides it with lots of plant matter to eat.

Its sturdy body lets it tunnel through the earth with ease. It uses its strong teeth to feed on the roots of large trees.
They are based on root vegetables, earthworms and the mythical Norse dragon Nidhogg.
